About Us
Marthoma Vidyanikethan is a distinguished centre for the theological formation of the Lay faithful, including Rev Sisters, founded in July 1990 by Mar Joseph Powathil, the Metropolitan Archbishop of Changanacherry, and established with the approval of the Holy See. Since its inception, it has been committed to nurturing academic excellence, spiritual depth, and the rich intellectual heritage of the Syriac Christian tradition.
Our Mission
The Institute aims to foster a deep understanding of Eastern Christian theology and spirituality, equipping students with a comprehensive and integrated vision of faith, liturgy, and ecclesial tradition. Through rigorous scholarship and guided reflection, Marthoma Vidyanikethan seeks to form competent and com mitted ministers, scholars, and lay leaders for the Church and society.
