Our Mission

The Institute aims to foster a deep understanding of Eastern Christian theology and spirituality, equipping students with a comprehensive and integrated vision of faith, liturgy, and ecclesial tradition. Through rigorous scholarship and guided reflection, Marthoma Vidyanikethan seeks to form competent and com mitted ministers, scholars, and lay leaders for the Church and society.

Why Choose Us

Marthoma Vidyanikethan, as a center of higher theological formation within the rich spiritual heritage of the Syriac Christian tradition, offers students a unique and profound opportunity to engage in systematic and comprehensive theological study. The program provides an in-depth exploration of Sacred Scripture, Syriac theological heritage, liturgy, Church history, sacramental theology, and the writings of the Eastern and Western Fathers of the Church.

Through these courses, students are invited to deepen their understanding of the Apostolic faith transmitted by the Holy Church Fathers from the first century onward, strengthening their capacity to live and articulate a mature Catholic faith. The curriculum is designed not only to impart doctrinal knowledge but also to equip learners to respond intelligently and pastorally to the spiritual and cultural challenges faced by the Church today. By fostering intellectual clarity, spiritual rootedness, and ecclesial commitment, the Bible–Theology programs aim to form individuals capable of discerning, defending, and living the enduring convictions of the Catholic tradition.
